About Us

Longwick Pre-school has been situated at Longwick Village Hall since 1990. We set up the hall daily with a range of stimulating resources that support the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Specific ‘Zones’ help define the hall layout, including book corner, small world resources, construction, mark making, den building, role play and play dough station which the children can access independently. A special emphasis is placed on the individual interests of the children who attend each session so that we can meet, consolidate and challenge their learning.

We respond to new interests and initiate experiences, many of which can be viewed in the Gallery.

Each child is supported in reaching their full potential as an individual. Older children access the letters and sounds programme which supports children to gain essential skills in active listening, rhythm and rhyme.

Our enclosed and gated, purpose built outside area complements the inside zones, providing alternative mediums such as a sand pit, mud kitchen and large ride ons.
