Tax-Free Childcare is there to support working parents with the cost of childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government adds an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for a disabled child).

Early Years Pupil Premium:
The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is extra funding for childcare providers (nurseries, preschools, childminders) for eligible children (e.g., from low-income families or adopted from care) to boost their development, learning, and care, funding things like better resources, staff training, or specific activities to help close early learning gaps and prepare them for school, not for reducing fees. It's an hourly payment directly to the provider, linked to funded hours.
Who’s Eligible?
Children claiming the universal free childcare hours (15/30 hours).
Children from families receiving certain benefits (like Universal Credit or Tax Credits).
Children who are adopted from care or were previously in care.
It's available for children from age 9 months up to the term after their 5th birthday.
If your child is eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium, we will receive a slightly higher hourly funding rate than of the universal funding, up to 570 hours of additional funding based on 15 hours per week (for a 38 week term time setting). This additional funding is then utilised to help cover private non-funded fees, consumable fees and other needs for your child, such as uniform or any other resources to support your child. If you get early years pupil premium, this will not affect any other benefits you may be entitled to.
If you think you could be eligible for EYPP, please let the Business Manager know when contacting the setting regarding a place for your child. We will guide you with what is required to apply for the EYPP which you can apply yourself or we can apply on your behalf.
Disability Access Funds:
If you are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance for your child/ren, we can claim up to £938 per academic year to help support your child in pre-school. Simply provide evidence of the DLA and we’ll do the rest.
